Co-host of 'The Greg Hill Show,' Danielle Murr, has announced she's leaving the display after more than 15 years to concentrate on her different passions.

Boston-based radio host Danielle Murr has introduced she's leaving the WEEI station and The Greg Hill Show, which she co-hosts. She's been with the display since 2005 when it aired on WAAF, according to Boston.com, and she stayed with the show when it transitioned to WEEI again in 2019. For a long time, she was once the one girl with an on-air position in the Boston sports radio space.

When Danielle introduced the news, she made certain to mention that it wasn't a choice she took flippantly and that it even took her a couple of months to make. Her closing display with WEEI is on Friday, March 12, 2021. But why did Danielle come to a decision to go away and where will she be going subsequent?

Why is Danielle leaving WEEI?

When Danielle made the announcement that she used to be leaving WEEI, she mentioned it used to be because she had to "take a chance on" herself.

"It was a very, very, very difficult decision for me," she stated. "One that I have been wrestling with for months. But I’m at a time in my life where I need to take a chance on myself." She did not precisely say what's next for her, however she has some concepts. 

Danielle has been part of WEEI for over 15 years, so she's going to unquestionably be neglected, but she said she wants to appear into every other alternatives and passions she has, together with starting her own podcast. 

"I’ve talked about my passions on the show before, whether it's animal welfare or plants or food or any of that stuff," stated Danielle. "I really want to go in a direction where I can focus on all of that."

"My friends, today is bittersweet as I announce my departure from my role as co-host of The Greg Hill Show," she wrote in a commentary that she posted to her Instagram. "I've been fortunate to have a broadcast career that has spanned over a decade-and-a-half on two legendary stations: WAAF and WEEI. I've loved working in radio, and have made many long-lasting friendships that I'll carry with me forever. 

"Despite being introduced incentives to stay, it is time for me to practice a brand new path and pursue the other passions I've been growing throughout my existence."

In the statement, Danielle goes on to say that she will continue to listen to the show and is grateful for the fans the show gained over the years.

Who will replace Danielle on 'The Greg Hill Show'?

As for WEEI, the station has realized how impactful having a female voice has been for The Greg Hill Show, and it sounds like the show is planning on seriously considering another woman for Danielle's spot. 

"I think it’s been a different connection having Danielle as a full-time feminine voice at the radio station," stated the regional president at WEEI's mum or dad company Entercom Communications. 

The Greg Hill Show will probably be auditioning new co-hosts over the coming weeks. On its careers page, Entercom Communications does have a role listing for an on-air sports place in Boston. But the full-time activity description doesn't without delay point out The Greg Hill Show.
