No one ever stated Homelander is a good man or that he even has the potential of an epic redemption arc on The Boys. Let's face it — he is beautiful irredeemable. But lovers are still stunned at his hand in Supersonic's demise in the June 10, 2022 episode.

So, why did Homelander kill Supersonic on The Boys? There are a few different key storylines going on in Season 3, so it can be arduous to keep all of them instantly. One thing viewers are blatantly acutely aware of, on the other hand, is how evil and maniacal Homelander is. And when he feels threatened, he will prevent at nothing to make sure his own safety and power.

Supersonic in 'The Boys.'

During Season 3 Episode 4, Homelander flies Starlight to the highest of a development to turn her one thing, which he helps to keep mysterious until they get there. Instead of changing into a romantic and selfless man overnight and showing her a grand view of town, Homelander presentations Starlight that he murdered her ex-boyfriend, Supersonic.

It's a caution to Starlight to backpedal and tow the road as one of the Seven. And the message is loud and transparent.

Why did Homelander kill Supersonic on 'The Boys'?

Let's back things up for a minute. Before Homelander killed Supersonic off-screen and taken his frame to a private spot to turn Starlight what he did, Starlight approached Supersonic about leaving the Seven to offer protection to himself.

But he wanted to stay for her, to offer protection to her and even doubtlessly fight Homelander with Starlight and the boys.

Unfortunately, Supersonic's free lips were his undoing. He informed A-Train about his and Starlight's plans to take down Homelander. And A-Train, who nonetheless needs to belong in the Seven and be again in Homelander's good graces, informed Homelander about the coup to dethrone and kill him.

Naturally, Homelander killed the supe whose loss of life would create the least amount of blow-back on him, but would additionally make a point. That supe was Supersonic.

Will Starlight Kill Homelander?

It's clear this season that Starlight is conserving one thing in. Every time she is angered greater than standard, she balls up her fist and hides it behind her again. And we can't lend a hand but assume this is resulting in a large explosion, in all probability actually.

Starlight might not be sturdy sufficient to kill Homelander herself, but she is getting stronger and more succesful via the day.

Maybe this power she helps to keep burying inside her will come out and in truth hurt Homelander. It's not going that Starlight may just kill Homelander without some primary help, but she may injure him in a way that no person has prior to.
