Patty Hearst was once arrested in San Francisco, Calif., in September 1975. The Hearst Media heiress was once abducted from her home Feb. 4, 1974, by way of members of a terrorist organization known as the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). Their "priorities included ending racism, monogamy, the prison system and 'all other institutions that have made and sustained capitalism,'" according to PBS. Two months after she was abducted, Hearst pledged her allegiance to the SLA.
Eventually Hearst was once arrested for her involvement in a financial institution theft that ended in the murder of a bystander. While on trial, her legal professionals would claim she was brainwashed but the jury didn't buy it.
