Back in 2017, crew frontman RZA broke down where the inspiration for the Wu-Tang logo came from. Apparently, he, along side their respectable DJ and someday manufacturer Mathematics, had been working through concepts for a gaggle symbol together, and RZA's unique idea was once, neatly, much more unsettling.
To cross in conjunction with the phrase "Protect Ya Neck," RZA instructed to Mathematics that he used to be looking for a dreadlocked severed head held in the air with blood dripping from the neck. The DJ sketched up a rough draft of that image, which included the present Wu-Tang "W" with a longer arm protecting up the bloody severed head. Fortunately, a time limit hurried alongside the decision-making process for the staff.
