In the years following their huge success, lead vocalist Steven Tyler suffered an overly public drug habit that almost cost him his occupation. However, after years of checking out and in of treatment, Steven turned over a new leaf.

Sadly, reviews showed that his struggle with substance abuse has stuck up with him once more. On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, a message posted to Aerosmith’s official Instagram account published that Steven had voluntarily checked himself into rehab. Throughout his decades-long occupation, Steven has been vocal about his ingesting and drug abuse.

Ahead of the opening of Aerosmith’s “Deuce’s Are Wild” residency at Park MGM in Las Vegas, the team showed that the first leg in their set has been canceled.

According to the observation, Steven relapsed after undergoing foot surgical procedure and can be taking the subsequent couple of months to concentrate on his sobriety. “As many of you understand, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for a few years,” the message read.

It went on, “After foot surgical procedure to arrange for the stage and the necessity of pain management right through the process, he has lately relapsed and voluntarily entered a remedy program to be aware of his health and recovery.”

Following the announcement, fans flooded Aerosmith’s comment segment with phrases of encouragement for the musician.

One fan wrote, “Addiction is so exhausting. We love you and want Steven all the make stronger and excellent vibes he can get. His health is extra vital than gigs. We’ll wait.”

The crew showed that the show will cross on — simply now not till September 2022. By that time, Steven will expectantly be back and better than ever. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time the singer bounced again after a relapse.

How long used to be Steven Tyler sober ahead of his relapse?

It appears that Steven Tyler were sober for greater than a decade as of May 2022. Reports suggests that the singer had been clean since he checked himself into rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic in 2009. He reportedly relapsed in 2006, after having been sober for 12 years.

In the past due '80s, Steven went to rehab after an intervention from his control and bandmates, but eventually relapsed.

Steven prior to now admitted to spending on the subject of $5 million or $6 million on drugs over the years. But he mentioned the value he’s paid as a result of his habit has price him far more.
