Per Page Six, Liza shared that she knew she and the NBA celebrity have been completed as soon as Baby Jayden gave up the ghost.
“I noticed I lost Lamar when our son Jayden passed away,” she shared. “We grieved so another way.”
Baby Jayden died at six months of age due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) on June 29, 2006, in step with Meaww.
SIDS is described as the unexplained demise, normally all the way through sleep, of a seemingly wholesome baby less than a year outdated, according to the Mayo Clinic. The website shares that SIDS is also known as crib death, for the reason that babies continuously die of their cribs.
Liza has been open about grieving the loss of Baby Jayden, and so has Lamar in his memoir, Darkness to Light.
In the guide, the NBA megastar detailed getting the call about Jayden. "His face was a dark blue. He wasn't breathing. Liza screamed hysterically. Liza's mother, a registered nurse, immediately took Jayden," he wrote.
After dashing to the sanatorium, the couple got the tragic information that Jayden had died. "It just didn't make sense to us. How could our baby just die in his crib? This couldn't be a real thing. I was stunned, numb, almost emotionless. I couldn't move," he wrote.
Because of their loss, Liza battled depression.
“I used to be grieving. I used to be significantly depressed for like two years, with out realizing I was severely depressed," she told Page Six. “So much of other people don’t discuss that stuff. In my family and communities of colour, we don’t talk about that stuff. So I in any case were given recognized once I went to a therapist.”
