Dex Is M.I.A. on ‘General Hospital’ — Is Evan Hofer Exiting the Show?

Fans have reason why to be worried that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is leaving General Hospital, given the Army vet’s recent betrayal of mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). So, is Dex a goner?
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) definitely hopes no longer. As Dex’s current amour, Joss is livid with stepfather Sonny for riding him away… and he or she’s lifeless set on locating her loved.
But from what Evan Hofer lately mentioned in an interview, we think it’s a secure guess he’ll be back on the ABC cleaning soap in no time.
Is Dex leaving ‘General Hospital’? The show has left his fate unclear.
In contemporary episodes of General Hospital, Sonny came upon that his followed son Michael (Chad Duell) enlisted Dex to infiltrate Sonny’s organization, as Soap Opera Digest recaps. Sonny nearly killed Dex in the Pine Barrens, but Dex were given a stay of execution, of types, when Carly (Laura Wright), Sonny’s ex-wife and Joss’s mother, showed up.
Later, Sonny tells Joss that Dex, her lover, is long past and not coming again to Port Charles, in keeping with Soaps.com. He provides her a letter Dex purportedly wrote, announcing he was once leaving town to keep everyone safe. Carly is sure that Sonny wouldn’t kill Dex, and Joss makes it her venture to seek out him, the web page reports.
“I can’t let Dex pass,” Joss stated, in line with The U.S. Sun. “I’m sorry, he just approach an excessive amount of to me. … I’m gonna to find him, and if he doesn’t wanna come again to Port Charles, then we’ll pass in different places. Together.”
Evan Hofer may have inadvertently revealed whether Dex survives.
Talking to Soap Opera Digest about Dex’s latest drama, Evan gave fanatics a clue about Dex’s General Hospital long term as he mused concerning the identification of the character’s father.
“I’ve met [Adam Harrington, who performs John “Jagger” Cates] in passing, and he’s very kind, and I haven’t had any scenes with Steve [Burton, who plays Jason Morgan], but I have hugged him at work. There are too many ancient intricacies that I don’t understand to mention [which fictional dad I’d favor], however I simply know regardless of the writers come to a decision in whatever cool manner sounds excellent to me.”
Did you catch the imaginable giveaway? That on-set hug between Evan and Steve could be a spoiler, as Celebrity Dirty Laundry notes. Steve returned to the General Hospital set on Feb. 5, 2024, forward of his personality’s March 4 return date, so if Evan used to be on set at the similar time, it kind of feels GH viewers will see Dex on screen in March too.
The actor is aware of Dex and Joss are in an unattainable scenario.
In that same interview, Evan broke down Dex and Joss’s current quandary. “[Dex] can’t put [Joss] in danger, and he knows Sonny wouldn’t endanger her, but in addition, Sonny was willing to kill him regardless of her. Dex hasn't ever liked any individual the way he loves Joss sooner than, or had somebody love him the way in which Joss does,” he reasoned. “And the speculation of her having to mourn him, I think, begins to boost those warning flags in his head.”
Evan added, “So Dex is pondering he has to go [away] and that that’s what’s absolute best for her. And I believe Joss is thinking, ‘OK, how will we make this paintings? He obviously didn’t kill you; my mom is now not gonna let him kill you. We can have the option to make this work,’ while Dex is like, ‘This is really dangerous, and I don’t know that there is any way we will make this paintings. Sonny needs me lifeless. How am I simply going to stick here and be with you favor nothing took place?’”
