Now with the surprising closure, players are scratching their heads trying to determine why Mineplex close down. We could have an idea as to what sparked its shutdown.

Why did Mineplex shut down?

In the commentary from the Mineplex developers released on May 16, there aren't any direct solutions as to why Mineplex needed to close down. Instead, a developer at the staff equipped avid gamers with a message on the server's Discord to officially shut the curtains on Mineplex.

"I wish that things would have gone differently, and I wish we all would have had time to say a proper goodbye to it ... I am sorry that it went the way it did, you guys are passionate about this server, and it's always inspired me to want to do better even if I didn't have the opportunity to."

In reaction, many avid gamers paid respects to the iconic server. One Reddit user reminisced concerning the second Mineplex hit "42k players and set a world record," as another discussed the epic excitement at the back of Turf Wars years ago.

According to several players on that thread, Mineplex's loss of life was once understandable:

"Definitely a shame, but it makes sense," mentioned a Reddit poster. "Joined it recently and there weren't many players on." Others famous Mineplex had a rampant anticheat issue and unstable server stability, theorized to be a few many reasons at the back of its shutdown.

Minecraft YouTuber VIPmanYT speculated Mineplex needed to shut down its Java and Bedrock versions because of server costs and a low player base.

Early in 2021, any other well known Minecraft server referred to as Hive closed its Java iteration as a result of those the most important factors and interested by its Bedrock model as an alternative for more benefit. However, on the subject of Mineplex, there does not appear to be any manner for the developers to recover since each versions be afflicted by these issues.

Regardless, Mineplex's run has come to an untimely finish. Former Mineplex devs are starting a brand new mission known as "Mineplex V2" and feature a Discord server going, however who can say if it is going to are living as much as what the unique accomplished.
