Does Brooke Laughton have a new boyfriend after her break up with João? The former 'Below Deck Mediterranean' co-stars are not talking.
It’s professional: Below Deck Mediterranean isn’t as entertaining with out Brooke Laughton. After looking at the stewardess fall for co-star João Franco remaining 12 months, lovers had been bummed to listen to that she wouldn’t be returning to the show for Season 4.
"There's a trick to the 'graceful exit.' It begins with the vision to recognize when a job, a life stage, or a relationship is over — and let it go," Brooke wrote in a while after the reunion special in September, confirming that she and João had break up.
So, does the 27-year-old have a brand new boyfriend? Here’s what we find out about Brooke’s present relationship standing and what went down between her and João when they left the Talisman Maiton.
Why did Brooke and João get a divorce?
On the Season 4 premiere of Below Deck Med, João claimed that issues unraveled between the duo because Brooke used to be untrue.
"Brooke and I threw ourselves in the deep end. I met her family, she met mine. She came to Zimbabwe, and we worked so well together, we really did," he told the digicam. "Things seemed perfect, but I found out she cheated on me."
In an interview with The Daily Dish, João explained that he left his place as a bosun on a constitution vessel in Europe to be with Brooke in America. "Well, by the time I figured out exactly what was going on, I couldn't really believe it because I had literally quit my dream job," he shared.
"I was busy planning a trip on a sailboat for us for two-and-a-half months, and she asked me to give her one more month on her boat in order for her to be happy to leave, and it turned out she was with the other guy."
Brooke denied cheating on João, telling People magazine, "Although it initially hurt to hear João blamed our relationship breakdown on a false claim that I cheated on him, it is very true to his character and allows him some relief for his ego." She added, "If this theory makes him sleep easier at night, then so be it but him saying this only makes me lose even more respect for him."
Does Brooke Laughton have a brand new boyfriend?
In June, João mentioned he believed Brooke was once still dating the guy she allegedly cheated on him with, however couldn't confirm it. However, in line with the brunette beauty’s Instagram, it doesn’t appear to be she’s in a dating — although she did need to shoot down engagement rumors in December.
"I’m not engaged — this is a mirror image ... ring on right hand," Brooke wrote subsequent to a photograph that includes an exquisite diamond ring.
As for João — who were given heat last 12 months for flirting with stewardess Kasey Cohen whilst in a dating with Brooke — he confirmed as much as Season 4 unmarried, despite the fact that he’s now relationship a girl named Michelle Dicu.
"Girl of my dreams," he captioned a pic of the pair in February. The couple changed into "Instagram official" in November.
