When Season 5 of Station 19 started, fans were prepared to have some curveballs within the persona storylines that they weren’t expecting. That’s what helps to keep audience coming again.

However, no one was ready for Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) dozing with someone after she and Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) looked like they had been heading for divorce. But who did Andy sleep with on Station 19, and what may that mean for her and for the team?

At the beginning of Season 5, issues had been shaken up pretty quickly when the station had a brand new captain in fee. Captain Sean Beckett (Josh Randall) was once introduced as the brand new leader in command of the station.

And to say other people were not delighted was once mainly an understatement. He’s now not likable, which is super transparent with the chauvinistic, sexist angle that comes along with him.

Except there was once one large marvel — Andy appeared to be the only one who may stand him. But that might be because Andy is going thru her personal stuff right now.

Viewers know that Andy is struggling in her relationship with Robert. And in Episode 2, we learn that she’s actually able to finish things. Andy served Robert divorce papers, and with her move to Station 23, she used to be transparent that working with Robert wasn’t one thing she used to be all in favour of.

However, issues were about to get sophisticated for Andy. In a rebound, attempting to recover from her failed marriage, Andy slept with someone. And it’s clear that she desires to make Robert hurt a little bit. But fans had been thrown off by way of the route the writers took. Andy slept with Station 19’s new captain, Beckett, and it didn’t make sense to everyone how it took place.

“First, Andy sets up Beckett for the cheesiest, most evident one-liner ever,” one particular person vents on Reddit. “Then, he's taking the low-hanging fruit and says the road, and for some explanation why, Andy just falls for it?”

Adding, “I am getting it, Andy is self-destructive and sees this as some way to get again at Sullivan. I don’t even suppose it’s totally out of character for her to sleep with Beckett. It’s simply the way that she straight away fell for his high school pick-up line, licked her lips, after which came making these bizarre eyes at him like he was the sexiest factor she’s ever noticed.”

Fans felt very in a similar fashion on Twitter, taking to the platform after the episode to speak about how complicated that was once for them too.

“I nonetheless can’t consider Andy…Beckett???” every other fan tweeted. “Really, I am hoping she's going to alternate her mind.”

Someone else shared, “I really like Andy, but come on!!!!! I doubt Sullivan gets over that. The [captain] is already insufferable, now he has to see him day-to-day figuring out he slept with his wife!!!!”

While fans are perplexed on the course, they’re nonetheless hoping one thing will make sense out of Andy’s decision to sleep with the new captain, who folks already don’t like.
