Well, for starters, Miguel had some other project on his mind firstly of Cobra Kai Season 5 — locating his father. But Miguel's father-finding mission does not move exactly the way in which he anticipated (let's just say it's a lesson in never assembly your heroes ... or in this situation, a downright deadbeat dad).

He's nonetheless dating Sam when he is going on his father challenge (a Cobra Kai side quest, if you're going to). Sam feels just a little frustrated that Miguel did not in reality be in contact to her about what he was doing.

Sam ends up breaking up with Miguel in Cobra Kai Season 5, Episode 3, shedding her personal model of "It's not you, it's me" to a heartbroken Miguel. (To be truthful to Sam, a minimum of she identified that she had to focus more on herself before recommitting to a courting with Miguel.)

The exes make the classic mistake of seeking to remain buddies. However, Sam's resolution did not imply that her feelings for Miguel dissipated into skinny air.

Sam realizes that she made a mistake when she spots Miguel kissing another lady at a celebration. However, she's between a rock and a hard place. After all, she was the person who broke things off. Did she truly have any right to be dissatisfied that Miguel had moved on?

All jokes aside, Miguel and Sam make a decision to engage in a lost art in the relationship recreation at the present time — in reality speaking with each other. They do stay on excellent terms through Season 5, even if they are broken up. However, the pair in spite of everything confess how they truly really feel to each other on the end of Cobra Kai Season 5.

It turns out Miguel wasn't truly over Sam both.

Miguel and Sam's whirlwind off-and-on romance finally results in a "all's well that ends well" scenario in the Cobra Kai Season 5 finale! The pair kiss, get back together, and after all admit that they love each other.
